HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT

But are the torments of hell real?


Imagine for a moment that the "fire" of hell is just symbolic. If so, then understand that a symbol is merely "smybolic" of a greater reality... of real suffering, real torments. This would mean that the greater reality which fire then symbolised, must be much more fearful than the symbol of souls burning forever in an lake of fire!


There is no relief in believing "fire" is just a symbol for God's wrath against unrepentant sinners. If it is just a symbol, then you have something much worse to endure. The fact is: if you do not repent, then you will be damned by God to an eternity of real suffering, forever separated from the love of God.

Listen to what JESUS said of the man who went to hell (Luke 16):

 

23 "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS. . . "

 

24 ". . . for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME."

 

28 ". . .PLACE OF TORMENT."

 

Hell will be beyond anything humanly imaginable! [as Heaven also will be]

 

In the Bible God describes Hell as a place of...

  • weeping (Matthew 8:12),

  • wailing (Matthew 13:42),

  • gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50),

  • weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:51)

  • darkness (Matthew 25:30),

  • flames (Luke 16:24),

  • burning (Isa 33:14),

  • torments (Luke 16:23),

  • everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46)!

  • indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish (Romans 2:8, 9)

Jesus says in Matthew 25:41, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels."

 

May the Lord Jesus open your eyes to see that YOUR SOUL is in danger of ETERNAL Hell. Your sin offends God and you hang by a spiders thread over the flames of eternal damnation.
